Molder

Altamira Material Solutions is seeking a Molder to produce high quality metal matrix composite (MMC) components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will prepare molds, mix and pour materials, operate molding and curing equipment, and perform precise measurements and visual inspections to meet tight tolerances. The role includes reading work instructions and basic drawings, documenting production data, following safety and 5S practices, and collaborating with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot issues, support process improvements, and help scale advanced MMC manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Set up, prepare, and maintain molds, tooling, and work area for MMC production.
• Mix, pour, and process materials using molding, curing, and related production equipment.
• Read and follow work instructions, travelers, and basic drawings to meet specifications.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections using gauges and measuring tools; record results.
• Document production data, nonconformances, and material usage accurately.
• Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and 5
• S/housekeeping standards.
• Identify basic process or equipment issues and communicate with engineers/technicians.
• Assist in trials, experiments, and process improvements for new or refined MMC products.
• Handle, move, and stage materials, molds, and finished parts safely.
• Collaborate with team members to meet schedule, quality, and continuous improvement goals.
