Operations Specialist
Mid Kansas Cooperative (MKC) is seeking an Operations Specialist 3 to support daily facility operations serving local producers across central Kansas. In this on-site role, you will assist with grain handling, agronomy and feed operations, inventory control, and equipment operation while upholding MKC's strong safety and service standards. Responsibilities include operating grain and related equipment, maintaining accurate records, monitoring product quality, and working closely with team members to ensure reliable, timely service. You will interact with producer-members, drivers, and internal teams, helping deliver grain, agronomy, energy, and feed solutions that support Kansas agriculture. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute daily grain, agronomy, and energy operations at assigned MKC location
- Operate and monitor grain handling and related equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate inventory records for grain, agronomy inputs, and feed products
- Ensure compliance with MKC safety standards, OSHA regulations, and facility procedures
- Support load-out, receiving, and blending activities to meet customer and contract requirements
- Inspect equipment and facilities, reporting and assisting with basic maintenance needs
- Provide courteous service to member-producers, truck drivers, and internal teams
- Assist with seasonal operations peaks, including extended hours as needed
- Use basic computer systems for tickets, scale operations, and operational documentation
- Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction
