Production Electrician

RIX Industries is seeking a Production Electrician I to support our advanced gas generation and compression manufacturing operations. In this on-site role, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems, motors, controls, and panels for complex production equipment. You will read schematics, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to breakdowns to minimize downtime. Working closely with engineering and production teams, you'll support equipment startups, upgrades, and continuous improvement while adhering to NEC, NFPA 70E, and strict safety standards in a mission-driven, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, panels, and controls for production and gas-handling equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, test equipment, and PLC/controls diagnostics to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on motors, drives, wiring, and control systems.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70
• E, and company safety standards, including proper Lockout/Tagout.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support equipment startups, upgrades, and process improvements.
• Document work performed, update drawings and records, and recommend reliability improvements.
• Assist with commissioning, testing, and acceptance of new or modified equipment and systems.
