Badger Daylighting is seeking a Hydrovac Operator to safely operate hydrovac trucks supporting construction and industrial projects. This field-based role combines commercial driving and non-destructive excavation, using high-pressure water and vacuum systems to expose underground utilities and infrastructure. Responsibilities include driving to jobsites, setting up equipment, performing safe daylighting, completing inspections, and maintaining logs. You'll work in a safety-focused, team-oriented environment with strong training, clear procedures, and opportunities to advance into supervisory and technical roles across Badger's North American operations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate hydrovac trucks to perform non-destructive excavation and daylight underground utilities.
- Drive commercial vehicles to and from jobsites in compliance with DOT and company standards.
- Set up, monitor, and adjust high-pressure water and vacuum systems during excavation.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and perform basic vehicle upkeep.
- Follow all safety procedures, regulations, and site-specific requirements.
- Communicate with site supervisors, locate crews, and customers to plan safe digs.
- Maintain accurate paperwork, tickets, and electronic logs for each job.
- Work effectively with swampers and field crews to deliver efficient, high-quality service.
