Prototype Machinist

Dynomax Inc. is seeking a Prototype Machinist to produce high-tolerance components for aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC and manual equipment to machine complex prototype parts, working directly from detailed blueprints and models. You'll collaborate closely with engineering on new designs, provide feedback on manufacturability, and help refine processes from concept to early production. Responsibilities include precision measurement and inspection, documenting setups, maintaining equipment, and supporting continuous improvement in a quality-driven, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machines to produce prototype aerospace, defense, and industrial components
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, models, and engineering drawings
• Collaborate with engineering on design-for-manufacturability and prototype feasibility
• Perform precision measurements and inspections to tight tolerances using gauges and metrology tools
• Adjust programs, tooling, and fixtures to optimize quality and cycle time
• Document process parameters and support continuous improvement and 5

• Maintain equipment, follow safety standards, and support a clean, organized work area
• Work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and bring new parts from concept to production
