CNC Mill Machinist

EMT International is seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist to produce precision components for high-performance web processing and material handling equipment. In this role, you will set up, program, and operate CNC mills, interpret blueprints, select tooling, and verify tight tolerances using precision measuring instruments. You'll collaborate with engineering and production teams, contribute to process improvements, and support continuous improvement in a safe, clean, family-oriented environment focused on quality and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate CNC mills to produce precision components to print
• Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and work orders to determine machining strategies
• Select tooling, set offsets, and verify machine parameters for optimal performance
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges; adjust to maintain tight tolerances
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot basic machining issues
• Collaborate with engineering and production on process improvements and new jobs
• Document production, quality checks, and deviations according to company standards
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

Required Skills

• CNC mill setup and operation
• G-code or conversational CNC programming
• Blueprint and CAD drawing interpretation
• Precision measurement (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Tool selection and offset adjustments
• Tight-tolerance machining
• Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Shop math and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Use of CAM software or CNC controls (Fanuc/Mazatrol or similar)
