Welder

Veritas Steel LLC is seeking a Welder for weekend/night shift to fabricate complex steel bridge and structural components in a high-quality, safety-first environment. You will interpret blueprints and weld symbols, set up and operate welding equipment (primarily MIG/FCAW), and perform precise welds on heavy structural steel. Responsibilities include material fit-up, use of cranes and forklifts for handling large pieces, and thorough inspection of welds to meet code and company standards. You'll collaborate with a skilled team, follow strict safety and quality procedures, and have opportunities to grow your technical and fabrication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and flux core welding on heavy structural steel components for bridges and large structures
• Interpret and work from blueprints, weld symbols, and work orders
• Set up, adjust, and operate welding and fabrication equipment on weekend/night shifts
• Fit, align, and clamp steel pieces using jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools to maintain tight tolerances
• Inspect welds for quality, dimensions, and conformance to codes and company standards
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to safely move and position large steel members
• Follow all safety procedures, use required PPE, and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Collaborate with supervisors, fitters, and other welders to meet production schedules and quality goals
