Production Associate

Almac-Sotebeer, LLC is seeking a hands-on Production Associate to support our Manufacturing & Production team. This role handles product staging, light assembly, packaging, labeling, and quality checks for cutting tools, abrasives, fasteners, and safety products. You will read work orders, accurately pick and prepare orders, maintain a clean, safe work area, and assist with inventory and basic equipment operation. As part of a family-owned, safety-first distributor, you'll collaborate closely with teammates, learn industrial products, and help ensure reliable, on-time service to manufacturing and construction customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate within a production/packaging area to support daily order fulfillment
• Stage, assemble, package, and label industrial products accurately
• Read and follow work orders, pick lists, and basic drawings or instructions
• Perform visual quality checks and basic measurements to ensure product accuracy
• Handle, move, and store materials safely using carts, pallet jacks, or forklifts (if certified)
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work area
• Assist with cycle counts and basic inventory tasks
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines
• Report any safety concerns, equipment issues, or quality problems promptly
• Follow all company safety, PPE, and operating procedures
