Plumber

UP Health System seeks a skilled Plumber to install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems across our hospitals and clinics. You will support safe water, waste, and medical gas systems essential to patient care. Responsibilities include troubleshooting leaks, maintaining fixtures, ensuring regulatory compliance, and responding to urgent repair requests. You'll collaborate with facilities and clinical teams to plan preventative maintenance and support construction or renovation projects, all within a culture that values safety, teamwork, and community-focused care.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing, piping, and fixtures in hospital and clinic facilities
• Inspect and troubleshoot leaks, clogs, low pressure, and equipment failures
• Maintain and support medical gas, water, and waste systems in compliance with codes
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on valves, pumps, heaters, and related systems
• Respond to emergency plumbing calls to minimize impact on patient care
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders for plumbing projects
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and healthcare facility codes and safety standards
• Coordinate with facilities, contractors, and clinical staff on renovation and construction projects
• Document work performed, parts used, and maintenance logs accurately
• Follow all infection control, safety, and regulatory procedures in patient-care areas
