Preschool Teacher

Georgetown Hill Early School seeks a Preschool Teacher to lead a play-based, nurturing classroom for young learners. In this on-site role, you will design developmentally appropriate activities that build social-emotional skills, early literacy, and math readiness while honoring each child's individuality. You will collaborate closely with co-teachers and families, maintain a safe and inclusive environment, and document children's growth. Our child-centered, research-informed program offers ongoing training and clear pathways to grow into lead, specialist, or administrative roles within our supportive school community.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement play-based, developmentally appropriate preschool lessons
• Foster children's social-emotional growth, curiosity, and early academic skills
• Create a warm, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
• Observe, document, and communicate children's progress to families
• Collaborate with co-teachers and campus staff on curriculum and classroom projects
• Partner with families through regular communication and conferences
• Support classroom routines including meals, rest time, and transitions
• Maintain compliance with Maryland childcare licensing and school policies
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training
• Contribute to school events and community-building activities
