PROJECT MANAGER

Vee-Jay Cement Contracting Company Inc. seeks a Project Manager to lead industrial, commercial, and institutional concrete projects from pre-planning through closeout. This on-site role coordinates with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and clients to deliver safe, high-quality work on schedule and within budget. Responsibilities include managing cost, schedule, contracts, RFIs, change orders, and quality while enforcing safety standards. As a family-owned, hands-on contractor, Vee-Jay offers field visibility, mentorship, and clear paths to leadership on complex, large-scale concrete projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination, and execution of concrete construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
• Manage budgets, schedules, and resources to meet cost, quality, and safety goals
• Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain workflow
• Review drawings, specifications, and RFIs to ensure constructability and scope alignment
• Track costs, changes, and progress; prepare reports and documentation for stakeholders
• Enforce company safety standards and participate in jobsite safety meetings and inspections
• Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, GCs, design teams, and field crews
• Support estimating, bidding, and project start-up planning as needed
