Fleet Maintenance Supervisor

Republic Services seeks a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily shop operations supporting waste and recycling vehicles. In this role, you will supervise technicians, schedule and prioritize repairs, and ensure preventive maintenance is completed safely and on time. You'll enforce DOT and company safety standards, manage parts and vendor relationships, and maintain accurate maintenance records. Responsibilities

• Supervise fleet technicians and assign daily maintenance and repair tasks
• Oversee preventive maintenance schedules for waste and recycling vehicles
• Diagnose and coordinate repair of diesel, hydraulic, and braking systems
• Ensure full compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in CMMS or similar systems
• Manage parts inventory and coordinate with external vendors and repair shops
• Monitor fleet performance, downtime, and repair quality
• Train and mentor technicians on safety, procedures, and best practices
• Collaborate with operations leaders to prioritize vehicle availability
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for shop efficiency and reliability
