Criminal Defense Attorney

Martine Law, a Minnesota-based criminal defense and family law firm, seeks a Criminal Defense Attorney to represent clients facing charges from DUI to serious felonies. In this role, you will manage a caseload from intake through resolution, conduct legal research, draft motions and briefs, negotiate with prosecutors, and advocate in court at hearings and trials. You will work closely with clients, providing clear communication and strategic guidance. Responsibilities

• Represent clients in criminal matters from DUI to serious felonies in Minnesota courts
• Manage a caseload from intake through plea, trial, or dismissal
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and memoranda
• Develop and execute defense strategies, including investigation and evidence review
• Negotiate with prosecutors on pleas, sentencing, and charge reductions
• Appear at hearings, pretrials, and trials, providing strong courtroom advocacy
• Maintain clear, consistent communication with clients about case progress
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff on case strategy and trial preparation
• Handle some related family law matters as needed
• Contribute to a client-centered, accountable, and improvement-focused firm culture
