CVOR Surgical Technologist

Memorial Hermann Health System seeks a CVOR Surgical Technologist to support complex cardiovascular procedures in a high-acuity operating room. In this role, you will prepare and maintain the sterile field, set up specialized CVOR equipment, and anticipate the needs of surgeons and nurses throughout procedures. Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile field for cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot specialized CVOR instruments and equipment
• Anticipate surgeon and team needs throughout procedures
• Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
• Manage instrument, sponge, and sharps counts with accuracy
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and room preparation
• Support efficient room turnover and equipment reprocessing coordination
• Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, and anesthesia to optimize patient outcomes
• Document required intraoperative information per hospital policy
• Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives
