Water Treatment Supervisor

Park City Municipal Corporation seeks a Water Treatment Supervisor to lead operations of our drinking water treatment facilities. This role oversees operators, scheduling, and safety while monitoring plant processes, water quality, and SCADA systems to meet all state and federal standards. The supervisor coordinates maintenance, manages chemical inventories, and ensures accurate regulatory reporting. Working closely with other City teams, this position supports sustainability initiatives, responds to operational issues, and helps plan system upgrades that protect public health and our mountain environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of municipal water treatment facilities to ensure reliable, safe drinking water.
• Lead, schedule, and train operators, promoting a strong safety and compliance culture.
• Monitor treatment processes, SCADA data, and lab results; adjust operations to meet standards.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state drinking water regulations and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with internal teams and vendors.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures and emergency response protocols.
• Manage chemical inventory, equipment records, and operational documentation.
• Support capital projects, upgrades, and sustainability initiatives for treatment systems.
• Collaborate with other City departments and respond to customer and community inquiries.
• Monitor budgets and contribute to planning for staffing, equipment, and facility needs.
