Optum NV is seeking a Family Practice Physician to join their team in Las Vegas, NV. As a clinician-led care organization, Optum offers clinical resources, data, and support to help physicians provide better patient care. This role is an integral part of the Optum Care Delivery team, focusing on advancing community health and contributing new practice ideas.
Practice Info
- Work with other physicians in teams while managing your own panel of patients.
- Patient population includes adults of all ages, geriatrics, and older adolescents, with customization for interest areas.
- Seniors have access to new Lifestyle Centers.
- Work in attractive/modern buildings with an electronic medical record environment.
- Full-time management staff, digital radiology, and onsite laboratory services are available at 14 clinic locations throughout the Las Vegas area.
- Employed practice position with Southwest Medical, part of Optum, a multi-specialty group.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care that is compassionate, appropriate, and effective for the treatment of health problems and the promotion of health.
- Demonstrate professionalism through commitment to professional responsibilities, adherence to ethical principles, and sensitivity to a diverse patient population.
- Work within a systems-based practice, demonstrating awareness of and responsiveness to the larger context and system of health care.
- Effectively call on system resources to provide care of optimal value.
Compensation
- $100,000 Sign on Bonus for external candidates.
- Attractive base salary, bonus plan.
- Differential for supervision of extenders.
- The salary range for this role is $245,000 to $366,000 annually based on full-time employment.

Shift & Schedule

Requirements
- Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Residency trained, board certified or board eligible.
- Ability to obtain Nevada license, DEA, Pharmacy license.
- Medical knowledge about established and evolving biomedical, clinical, epidemiological and social behavioral sciences and application of this knowledge to patient care.
- Interpersonal and communication skills that result in effective information exchange and collaboration with patients, their families and other health professionals.
- Possession of or acquisition of sufficient computer skills to effectively utilize Electronic Medical Records in their practice.
- Practice-based learning and improvement that involves investigation and evaluation of their own patient care, appraisal and assimilation of scientific evidence and improvements in patient care.
