Accounting Manager

Beck Oil Company of Illinois is seeking an Accounting Manager - General Ledger & Financial Reporting to lead core accounting operations for our innovative IT and software-driven business. You will own the general ledger, oversee month-end and year-end close, and deliver accurate, timely GAAP financial statements. This role drives strong internal controls, partners with leadership on financial insights, and supports budgeting and forecasting. You will mentor a small team, collaborate across departments, and help optimize our accounting systems in a forward-thinking, inclusive culture that values innovation, growth, and work-life balance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger activities and ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data
• Manage month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements and management reports
• Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls and accounting policies
• Coordinate audits and support external auditors with required documentation
• Analyze financial results and provide insights to leadership for decision-making
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes with reliable financial data
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff to high performance standards
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to optimize financial systems and workflows
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, company policies, and industry standards
