Septic Vacuum Truck Driver & Technician

Van Delden Wastewater Systems seeks a Septic Vacuum Truck Driver & Technician to safely operate vacuum trucks, pump and haul wastewater, and support field service work for residential and commercial customers. This role includes driving, operating pumping equipment, assisting with inspections and maintenance, completing service documentation, and interacting professionally with customers. You'll work outdoors in the San Antonio and Hill Country area, follow strict safety and regulatory procedures, and receive hands-on training in onsite wastewater systems within a family-oriented, long-term focused team.

Responsibilities

• Operate septic vacuum truck to pump, transport, and dispose of wastewater safely and efficiently
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and basic maintenance on trucks and equipment
• Assist with septic system inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs in the field
• Follow DOT, safety, and environmental regulations and company procedures at all times
• Complete service tickets, logs, and required documentation accurately and promptly
• Communicate professionally with residential and commercial customers on-site
• Coordinate daily routes and schedules with dispatch and field supervisors
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of vehicles, tools, and work areas
• Use PPE and participate in safety meetings and training
• Support teammates in various onsite wastewater projects as needed
