Community Development Director

The Community Development Director at PTRC will oversee and lead regional development initiatives, focusing on urban planning, housing, and infrastructure projects. This position requires strategic vision combined with practical project management to drive community growth while responding to the needs of local governments within the Piedmont Triad region. As a leader in community development, the director will collaborate with municipal leaders, private sector partners, and community organizations, ensuring sustainable and equitable growth across diverse urban and rural communities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive urban planning strategies.
• Manage community development projects from conception through completion.
• Liaise with local government officials to ensure project alignment with regional goals.
• Secure funding through grants and partnerships with stakeholders.
• Assess the impact of development projects on the community and environment.
• Report progress and outcomes to the PTRC Board and the public.
