MATERIAL HANDLER

U.S. Tsubaki, a leader in innovative coupling solutions within the automotive sector, is seeking a Material Handler to join our dynamic Warehouse & Manufacturing team. This position is integral to managing the flow of materials needed to produce our Atra-Flex line of flexible couplings which are essential in connecting rotating equipment used in various critical applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the right components reach the production lines on time and in perfect condition, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting overall production targets.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, using forklifts or other conveyances.
• Read work orders or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Open containers, using steel cutters, crowbars, or other hand tools.
• Count, weigh, and record number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheets.
• Attach slings, hooks, or other devices to lift cargo and guide loads.
• Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected.
• Organize and secure stored materials such as bales, super sacks, boxes, pallets, and so on.
• Actively participate in inventory counts and quality assurance processes.

Required Skills

• Proficient in operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery
• Basic math skills for inventory management
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Strong organizational skills
• Good physical stamina and strength
