Health and Nutrition Services Coordinator
Children First, Inc. seeks a Health and Nutrition Services Coordinator to support the well-being of vulnerable children and families in Athens, GA. In this role, you will coordinate health and nutrition services across our child- and family-focused programs, including advocacy and family support initiatives. Responsibilities include conducting health and nutrition screenings, developing individualized wellness plans, and providing education on healthy eating and child development. You will collaborate closely with case managers, CASA volunteers, and community health partners to ensure timely referrals and continuity of care. The coordinator will track outcomes, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to grant and program reporting. Responsibilities
- Coordinate health and nutrition services for children and families in Children First, Inc. programs
- Develop, implement, and monitor nutrition and wellness plans aligned with child welfare best practices
- Conduct health and nutrition screenings, assessments, and referrals for children and caregivers
- Collaborate with case managers, CASA volunteers, and community health partners to ensure continuity of care
- Provide education and workshops on healthy eating, child development, and family wellness
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting in compliance with agency and regulatory standards
- Monitor program outcomes and use data to improve services and support grant reporting
- Train and support staff and volunteers on health, nutrition, and safety practices
- Advocate for children's health needs within court, school, and community settings
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and community coalitions to advance child well-being
