Early Learning Lead Teacher

The YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids is seeking a dedicated Early Learning Lead Teacher to join our team. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality early childhood education and developmental programs in a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will support the YMCA's mission to strengthen the community and will contribute to the holistic development of young children by planning and implementing engaging educational activities that foster their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate early childhood education curriculum in alignment with YMCA standards.
• Provide a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration.
• Regularly assess and record children's progress, and communicate these updates to parents and guardians.
• Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance the educational environment and create a cohesive approach to learning.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and special events as required.
• Maintain compliance with state, local, and YMCA health and safety regulations.
