The YMCA is seeking Early Childhood Child Care Teachers to create safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environments for young children. Teachers will plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, support social-emotional growth, and build positive relationships with families. As part of a mission-driven, inclusive team, you'll model core YMCA values, maintain licensing and safety standards, and collaborate with staff to promote healthy living, youth development, and social responsibility across our community-focused programs.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate early childhood curriculum and activities.
  • Provide constant supervision to ensure a safe, nurturing environment for all children.
  • Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Communicate regularly with families about child progress and program activities.
  • Maintain compliance with state licensing, health, and safety regulations.
  • Document attendance, incidents, and developmental observations accurately.
  • Collaborate with YMCA staff to support program goals and community initiatives.
  • Model YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
  • Set up, clean, and organize classrooms and learning materials daily.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and required trainings.
