School Age Childcare Positions

The YMCA is hiring School Age Childcare staff for the Quaker Valley School District for the Fall 2026 school year. In this role, you'll supervise children in before- and after-school programs, lead games, homework help, arts, and enrichment activities, and ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive environment. You'll build supportive relationships with students and families, model the Y's core values, and help with daily setup, cleanup, and communication with school staff. This position is ideal for those passionate about youth development and making a direct impact in the community.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure safety of school-age children in before- and after-school programs.
• Lead engaging activities including games, arts, enrichment, and homework support.
• Maintain positive, inclusive environment aligned with YMCA values and policies.
• Communicate effectively with children, families, school staff, and YMCA supervisors.
• Support behavior management and conflict resolution in a calm, constructive manner.
• Complete daily setup, cleanup, and basic record keeping for attendance and incidents.
• Follow all safety, child protection, and emergency procedures.
• Participate in required trainings and staff meetings to support program quality.
