Employment Law In-House Counsel

State Farm seeks an Employment Law In-House Counsel to advise on complex labor and employment matters. You will support HR and business leaders on compliance, workplace policies, investigations, and dispute resolution across our U.S. operations. Key duties include drafting and reviewing employment agreements and policies, guiding responses to claims, and monitoring legal and regulatory changes. Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel on employment law matters, including hiring, performance management, and terminations
• Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements, policies, and handbooks
• Advise HR and leadership on compliance with federal and state labor and employment regulations
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend strategies to mitigate employment-related legal exposure
• Manage and coordinate responses to EEOC charges, complaints, and employment disputes
• Support internal investigations involving employee relations or policy violations
• Monitor and interpret changes in employment laws and update internal stakeholders
• Deliver training to HR, leaders, and managers on key employment law topics
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on workforce initiatives and organizational changes
• Engage and manage outside counsel as needed for complex employment litigation
