Connecticut Institute for Communities seeks an Infant / Toddler CDA Specialist to support high-quality care for children from birth to three in our community-focused programs. This role designs and implements developmentally appropriate, CDA-aligned curriculum, models best practices for caregivers, and ensures adherence to health, safety, and licensing standards. The Specialist conducts observations and assessments, documents child progress, and partners closely with families, healthcare, and social service staff to promote holistic child development and school readiness in underserved communities.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver developmentally appropriate, CDA-aligned curriculum for infants and toddlers.
- Observe classrooms and model best practices for teachers and caregivers.
- Conduct ongoing child assessments and document developmental progress.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and state licensing standards in infant/toddler settings.
- Collaborate with healthcare and social service staff to support holistic child and family needs.
- Engage and educate families on child development and at-home learning strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Support staff training and mentoring related to infant/toddler care and CDA standards.
