Risk Manager
Catholic Health Services, a mission-driven, faith-based not-for-profit serving South Florida, seeks a Risk Manager to lead risk management and patient safety initiatives across rehabilitation, long-term care, assisted living, home health, and hospice services. Reporting to Risk Management & Compliance, you will assess and mitigate clinical, operational, and regulatory risks, oversee incident reporting and root cause analyses, support claims management, and ensure compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, and state requirements. You will partner with leaders and frontline staff to embed a just, safety-focused culture rooted in Catholic values of dignity, respect, teamwork, and ethical practice. Responsibilities
- Lead development and implementation of system-wide risk management and patient safety programs.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate clinical, operational, and regulatory risks across services.
- Oversee incident reporting, investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans.
- Ensure compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, state, and Catholic Health Services policies.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to embed risk-aware, ethical practices.
- Analyze risk trends and prepare dashboards and reports for leadership and committees.
- Support claims management, liaising with legal, insurers, and external regulators as needed.
- Educate and coach staff on risk reduction, documentation, and patient safety principles.
- Promote a just culture aligned with Catholic values of dignity, respect, and compassion.
- Participate in emergency preparedness, business continuity, and performance improvement efforts.
