Traffic Safety Flagger

All State Flagging is seeking Traffic Safety Flaggers to support safe traffic flow around construction and utility work zones in the Spokane Valley area. In this role, you will set up and remove traffic control devices, direct vehicles and pedestrians using signs, paddles, and hand signals, and communicate clearly with crew members by radio and face-to-face. You will monitor site conditions, follow strict safety procedures, and respond quickly to changing traffic patterns. This outdoor position requires standing for long periods in all weather and wearing required PPE. Paid training and opportunities for certification and advancement are available.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control signs, cones, and barriers for work zones
• Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic using stop/slow paddles, flags, and hand signals
• Communicate clearly with construction crews and other flaggers via radio and in person
• Monitor traffic and site conditions and adjust flagging to maintain safe flow
• Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and work zone standards
• Inspect and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Report hazards, incidents, and near-misses to supervisors promptly
• Work outdoors in varying weather while standing for extended periods
