Substitute EC Teacher

KIPP ENC Public Schools, part of KIPP North Carolina's K-12 public charter network, seeks Substitute EC Teachers for the school year. In this mission-driven, equity-focused role, you will provide high-quality instruction and support to students with exceptional needs, implementing IEPs and lesson plans created by lead teachers. You will manage classrooms, apply behavior and academic interventions, track student progress, and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families. Responsibilities

• Provide daily instruction and classroom coverage for EC students following lesson plans and IEPs
• Implement accommodations and modifications aligned to students' IEP goals
• Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
• Collect and document student progress data as directed by the EC teacher or school leader
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support student success
• Use behavior management and intervention strategies consistent with school expectations
• Participate in professional development and coaching sessions as scheduled
• Adapt quickly to different school sites, grade levels, and classroom needs across the network
