ElectriCom is seeking a Class A / Journeyman Lineman to join our Utility Construction/Operations team in the Energy & Utilities industry. This role builds, maintains, and repairs overhead and underground power lines while upholding ElectriCom's strong safety culture. Responsibilities include performing energized and de energized line work, operating bucket and digger trucks, troubleshooting outages, and responding to emergency calls. You'll interpret construction prints, ensure NESC and company standards, mentor apprentices, and complete required documentation while collaborating with crews to deliver quality, reliable service for our utility customers.
Responsibilities
- Construct, maintain, and repair overhead and underground distribution and transmission lines
- Perform energized and de-energized line work following strict safety procedures and company policies
- Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, and related line equipment and tools
- Troubleshoot power outages and restore service, including participation in on-call and storm response
- Read and interpret construction drawings, staking sheets, and work orders
- Install, remove, and maintain poles, transformers, conductors, and associated hardware
- Ensure compliance with NESC, OSHA, and Electri
- Com safety and quality standards
- Perform switching, tagging, and grounding of lines as directed by system operators or supervisors
- Complete required job documentation, inspections, and reports accurately and on time
- Mentor and assist apprentices and groundmen, promoting teamwork and safe work practices
