Plumber

NP Mechanical Rice Services Inc seeks a Plumber to support construction and skilled labor projects in rice mills and grain handling facilities. Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing process piping, water, air, and drainage systems; troubleshooting leaks and equipment connections; and assisting with custom fabrication. Work closely with experienced technicians in the field, follow safety procedures, read blueprints, and complete accurate documentation. This role offers hands-on experience with industrial/agricultural systems, steady local work, and growth in a team-focused, safety-first culture serving regional growers and processors.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair process piping, water, air, and drainage systems in rice mills and grain handling facilities
• Troubleshoot leaks, flow issues, and plumbing-related equipment connections to mechanical systems
• Assist with layout, measurement, cutting, threading, and joining of pipe and fittings (steel, copper, PVC, etc.)
• Interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and job specifications to plan plumbing installations and tie-ins
• Perform preventive maintenance on plumbing and related mechanical systems to reduce downtime
• Support custom fabrication work, including basic welding prep and equipment hookups
• Follow all company and site-specific safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and confined space rules
• Use hand and power tools safely and maintain tools and equipment in good working order
• Document work performed, materials used, and time on work orders and service reports
• Coordinate with supervisors, technicians, and customers to schedule work and minimize disruption to operations

Required Skills

• Industrial plumbing installation and repair
