BEST ONE TIRE&SERVICE is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to service commercial and fleet vehicles in our on-site shop. You will diagnose and repair diesel engines, brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems, as well as mount, balance, and rotate commercial tires. Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, conducting safety inspections, documenting all work, and communicating clearly with service advisors and customers. You'll work in a customer-focused, team-oriented environment that values integrity, safety, and reliability, with ongoing technical training and opportunities to advance into lead, service, or management roles.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, drivetrains, brakes, and suspensions on commercial and fleet vehicles
  • Perform preventative maintenance services and safety inspections according to company and manufacturer standards
  • Mount, balance, repair, and rotate commercial tires, ensuring proper torque and alignment
  • Use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and repair software to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
  • Accurately document all inspections, repairs, parts used, and recommendations on work orders
  • Follow all shop safety procedures, including proper use of lifts, tools, and personal protective equipment
  • Communicate clearly with service advisors and customers about repair needs, timelines, and options
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist teammates to ensure efficient shop workflow
  • Participate in ongoing technical training to stay current on diesel systems, tire technology, and safety practices
  • Support a customer-focused, integrity-driven culture by delivering reliable, high-quality work.
