Guitar Teacher

Music & Arts is seeking a passionate Guitar Teacher to provide private and group lessons in our retail lesson studio. You'll assess student skill levels, develop customized lesson plans, teach technique, theory, and repertoire, and prepare students for recitals and performances. Collaborate with store staff to support lesson scheduling and student retention, communicate progress with parents, and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment that reflects our mission to support music education and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and small-group guitar lessons in-store
• Assess student skill levels and set learning goals
• Develop and deliver customized lesson plans and curricula
• Teach technique, music theory, and repertoire across levels
• Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and performances
• Track and communicate student progress to parents and students
• Collaborate with store staff on lesson scheduling and retention
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Recommend instruments, accessories, and materials to support learning
• Uphold Music & Arts' student-focused, service-driven culture
