Music Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to provide private and group lessons in our retail store. You will teach students of varying ages and skill levels, develop individualized lesson plans, prepare students for recitals and performances, and support school music programs. Collaborate with store staff to schedule lessons, recommend instruments and accessories, and encourage student retention. Ideal candidates have strong performance and pedagogical skills, experience teaching beginners, and a commitment to creating a positive, inclusive, student-focused learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and small group music lessons to students of varying ages and abilities
• Develop and adapt individualized lesson plans and learning goals
• Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school performances
• Assess student progress and communicate regularly with parents and guardians
• Collaborate with store staff to schedule lessons and manage studio calendar
• Recommend appropriate instruments, accessories, and learning materials to support progress
• Maintain an engaging, inclusive, and safe learning environment
• Support local school music programs and community outreach efforts
• Accurately track attendance and lesson records per company guidelines
• Participate in training, meetings, and performance reviews as required
