Music Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to provide private and group lessons in our retail store. You'll teach students of varying ages and skill levels, create lesson plans, prepare students for performances and auditions, and track their progress. Collaborate with store staff to support rentals, accessories, and events that promote music education. Ideal candidates have strong performance or teaching experience on at least one band, orchestra, or popular instrument, excellent communication skills, and a student-focused, inclusive approach that aligns with our mission to make music education accessible to all.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and group music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
• Develop and follow structured lesson plans and curriculum
• Assess student progress and provide clear feedback to students and parents
• Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and performances
• Maintain accurate schedules, attendance, and progress records
• Collaborate with store staff to support rentals, accessories, and educational events
• Promote additional lessons and programs to support student growth
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment
