Senior Sales Associate

Music & Arts is seeking a Part-Time Senior Sales Associate to join our retail team. In this role, you'll guide customers in selecting band and orchestra instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons, delivering knowledgeable, student-focused service. You'll process sales and rentals, open and close the store, maintain merchandising standards, and support in-store events and lesson programs. You'll collaborate with educators, students, and families, meet sales goals, and use POS and rental systems. This role offers growth in a mission-driven environment supporting music education and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide knowledgeable sales assistance for instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons
• Deliver student-focused, service-driven customer support in-store and by phone
• Process sales, rentals, returns, and lesson registrations using POS systems
• Support opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily reporting
• Maintain merchandising, displays, and inventory organization on the sales floor
• Promote lesson programs and in-store events to students, parents, and educators
• Collaborate with school service reps and educators to support school music needs
• Meet or exceed individual and store sales and service goals
• Troubleshoot basic instrument and accessory questions for customers
• Uphold Music & Arts policies, brand standards, and a welcoming store environment
