Music Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to provide high quality private and group lessons in our retail store. You'll teach students of varying ages and skill levels, develop personalized lesson plans, and prepare learners for performances, auditions, and school programs. Partner with store staff to support lesson enrollment and promote music education. Ideal candidates have strong performance and teaching skills, experience with band or orchestra instruments, and a student centered approach. Weekend and evening availability is preferred in our collaborative, education focused retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and group music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
• Develop individualized lesson plans and learning goals
• Prepare students for performances, auditions, and school programs
• Assess student progress and communicate regularly with parents or guardians
• Maintain accurate schedules, attendance, and lesson records
• Collaborate with store staff to support lesson enrollment and retention
• Promote Music & Arts programs, events, and educational offerings
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment
• Care for and properly use store instruments and teaching spaces
• Participate in occasional recitals, workshops, or in store events
