Music Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to provide high-quality private and group lessons in our retail store. You'll develop customized lesson plans, teach beginner to intermediate students on band, orchestra, or popular instruments, and prepare them for performances, auditions, and school ensembles. Collaborate with store staff to support sales of instruments, rentals, and accessories that meet student needs. Maintain accurate schedules and lesson records, communicate progress with parents and educators, and contribute to a welcoming, student-focused, and inclusive store environment that supports music education in the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and group music lessons to beginner and intermediate students
• Develop individualized lesson plans and curriculum aligned with student goals
• Prepare students for performances, recitals, and school ensemble participation
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and educators about student development
• Support store initiatives by recommending appropriate instruments, rentals, and accessories
• Maintain accurate lesson schedules, attendance, and student records
• Create an inclusive, safe, and encouraging learning environment
• Collaborate with store staff to support events and community outreach
• Uphold Music & Arts standards for professionalism and customer service
