Responsibilities

  • Safely operate helicopters for air medical transport missions in diverse weather and terrain conditions
  • Conduct thorough pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checks in accordance with FAA and company procedures
  • Coordinate closely with medical and dispatch teams to ensure timely, safe patient transport
  • Adhere to all FAA regulations, company SOPs, and safety management systems
  • Maintain accurate flight logs, reports, and operational documentation
  • Participate in ongoing training, check rides, and simulation to maintain proficiency
  • Assess and manage in-flight risks, making sound decisions under pressure
  • Communicate clearly with ATC, ground crews, and medical personnel during missions
  • Support a culture of safety, teamwork, and clinical excellence
  • Assist with base duties, aircraft readiness, and community/partner outreach as needed
