Sutter Medical Group (SMG) is seeking a Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist to join Sutter Amador OB/GYN, a community-focused practice in California's Sierra Foothills. This role is primarily obstetrics-focused, serving an appreciative and underserved patient population at Sutter Amador Hospital. The position offers a supportive environment with opportunities for professional fulfillment, including teaching OB/GYN and Family Medicine residents, alongside an excellent work/life balance.

Practice Info

  • Primarily obstetrics-focused role serving an appreciative and underserved patient population
  • Practice at Sutter Amador Hospital, a 53-bed rural hospital
  • Low-acuity OB practice averaging 20-25 deliveries per month
  • Supportive, collaborative environment with experienced nursing staff
  • Senior care focus with continuity and relationship-based medicine
  • Ample resources for a rural setting, including robotic-assisted surgery capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Serve an appreciative and underserved patient population, including an unmet gynecologic population
  • Maintain clinical skills and tertiary-care exposure by rotating 1-2 days per month at Sutter Medical Center Sacramento
  • Participate in graduate medical education, teaching OB/GYN residents and Family Medicine residents in a rural residency track

Compensation

  • Annual salary of $399,000
  • Generous call pay on top of salary
  • Sign-on bonus of up to $50,000
  • Relocation assistance of up to $20,000
  • Resident stipend up to $3,000 per month while in residency for up to 24 months
  • Forgivable loan of up to $200,000
  • PSLF eligible

Shift & Schedule

  • Call schedule (1:3 ratio)
  • Weekday Call: Tuesday-Thursday, two weeks per month (6 days total)
  • Weekend Call: Friday-Monday, one weekend per month (4 days total)
  • Total: 10 call days per month

Requirements

  • Board-certified/eligible OB/GYN Physician
  • J-1 waiver and H-1B visa sponsorship available
