Inkjet Trainee

TSG - The Sheridan Group seeks an Inkjet Trainee to support printing and production operations within our Manufacturing & Production team. In this entry-level role, you'll learn to operate and maintain inkjet and related print equipment, prepare materials for print runs, monitor output quality, and assist with basic troubleshooting and adjustments. Working closely with experienced press operators in a collaborative, high-performance environment, you'll receive hands-on training, mentorship, and exposure to printing workflows that support strategic communications and public affairs campaigns for corporate and nonprofit clients.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate and monitor inkjet printing equipment under supervision
• Prepare materials, load substrates, and set up basic jobs for production runs
• Inspect printed output for quality, color accuracy, and defects
• Assist with routine cleaning, maintenance, and minor adjustments on equipment
• Follow safety procedures and maintain an organized, clean production area
• Document basic production data and communicate issues to senior operators
• Support the Manufacturing & Production team with general print room tasks
