Inkjet Trainee

TSG - The Sheridan Group seeks an Inkjet Trainee to support our Manufacturing & Production team. In this entry-level role, you'll learn to set up, operate, and maintain inkjet printing equipment used in producing high-quality communications materials for advocacy campaigns. Working closely with experienced operators, you'll assist with job ticket review, machine calibration, material loading, basic troubleshooting, and quality checks. You'll follow safety and production standards, document workflows, and help meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment committed to precision and impact.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup, operation, and shutdown of inkjet printing equipment
• Load materials, monitor runs, and conduct visual quality checks
• Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines
• Support basic equipment cleaning and preventive maintenance
• Review job tickets and ensure correct materials and settings are used
• Document production activities and report issues to senior operators
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines
• Learn and apply best practices for print quality and consistency
