Bus Driver

Redding Rancheria seeks a dependable Bus Driver to safely transport tribal members and community riders to programs, appointments, schools, and events. This role operates passenger buses on scheduled routes and special trips, following all traffic, safety, and tribal transportation policies. The Bus Driver conducts pre- and post-trip inspections, maintains clean, orderly vehicles, assists passengers with mobility needs, and ensures courteous, culturally respectful service. The position also completes basic trip logs, incident reports, and mileage records while supporting Redding Rancheria's mission of community service and cultural preservation.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate buses on scheduled routes and special trips
• Transport tribal members and community riders to programs, schools, appointments, and events
• Perform and document pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and tribal transportation policies
• Assist passengers with boarding, exiting, and securing mobility devices
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe bus interior and exterior
• Monitor passenger behavior and ensure a respectful, culturally sensitive environment
• Complete trip logs, mileage records, and basic incident reports
• Communicate with dispatch and supervisors about schedule or safety issues
• Support Redding Rancheria's mission of service and cultural preservation
