Local CDL A Driver

BJ's Wholesale Club is seeking a Local CDL A Driver to support our Elkton, MD distribution operations. In this field-based role, you'll operate a CDL A tractor-trailer on local, primarily no-touch freight routes between BJ's clubs, distribution centers, and vendor locations. You'll ensure safe, timely deliveries while strictly following DOT and company safety standards. Responsibilities include pre- and post-trip inspections, accurate ELD logging, seal and paperwork verification, and professional communication with dispatch and club teams. Responsibilities

• Operate CDL A tractor-trailer on local routes to and from BJ's facilities and vendor locations
• Maintain strict compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and company safety standards
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues promptly
• Handle no-touch freight deliveries, verifying counts, seals, and paperwork
• Manage on-time pickups and deliveries while optimizing routes and hours of service
• Use ELDs and logs accurately to track driving, rest, and on-duty time
• Communicate clearly with dispatch, club teams, and vendors regarding schedules and updates
• Represent BJ's professionally with members, partners, and the public
• Support efficient warehouse and yard operations as needed, including dock maneuvers
• Participate in ongoing safety meetings, training, and performance reviews
