Ryder System is hiring a CDL A Solo Regional Truck Driver to support our leading logistics and transportation network. In this field-based role, you will safely operate a CDL A tractor-trailer on regional solo routes, hauling freight between Ryder facilities and customer locations. Responsibilities include pre- and post-trip inspections, secure loading and unloading, accurate paperwork, and strict adherence to DOT and Ryder safety standards. You'll work with dispatch and customers to ensure on-time deliveries while representing Ryder's safety-first, customer-focused culture and building a long-term driving career.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a CDL A tractor-trailer on regional solo routes following DOT and company safety standards
  • Transport freight between Ryder facilities and customer locations on a predictable regional schedule
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required driver and vehicle documentation
  • Secure, load, and unload freight as needed while protecting product integrity and minimizing damage
  • Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and yard personnel to ensure on-time deliveries
  • Follow all federal, state, and local traffic regulations and Ryder safety policies
  • Use onboard technology and logs to track hours of service, routes, and delivery status
  • Report maintenance issues promptly and coordinate with Ryder shops for repairs and preventive service
  • Maintain clean, orderly equipment and represent Ryder professionally at customer sites
  • Support a safety-first, customer-focused culture through adherence to procedures and continuous improvement
