Baker

As a Baker with Aramark at Panera Bread in Purdue Retail Dining, you'll prepare fresh breads, pastries, and baked goods that meet Panera and Aramark quality standards. You will follow recipes, portion and proof doughs, operate ovens, monitor bake times, and ensure consistent product appearance and freshness throughout the day. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area, labeling and rotating product, supporting food safety procedures, and assisting with inventory and prep. You'll work early or varied shifts as part of a supportive, service-focused team dedicated to great guest experiences and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake breads, pastries, and baked goods to Panera and Aramark standards
• Follow standardized recipes, portion guidelines, and production lists
• Operate and monitor ovens, proofers, and related baking equipment safely
• Check product quality, freshness, and presentation throughout service
• Label, date, and rotate products following food safety and HACCP practices
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary baking and prep area
• Assist with inventory checks, product storage, and preparation for upcoming shifts
• Work early morning or varied shifts to ensure product availability
• Collaborate with café and kitchen staff to support smooth service
