Job Details:
  • Administer anesthesia to patients of all ages across a variety of clinical settings including the operating room, obstetrics unit, and throughout the hospital
  • Rural anesthesia practice utilizing a mixed medical model that includes both medically directed and independent practice opportunities
  • 5 OR suites in the main operating room and 1 OR on the OB unit dedicated to C-sections
  • Salaried 8-hour day shift plus 24-hour call coverage
  • Call schedule: Monday through Friday and Saturday through Sunday
  • 20-minute callback window required for emergencies; a call room is provided for those living outside the time requirement
  • Call frequency is approximately 1:6 with flexible, self-scheduled call days
  • Labor analgesia service supporting approximately 250 deliveries per year
  • Surgical specialties include general, orthopedic, ENT, podiatry, gastroenterology, OB/GYN, and ophthalmology
  • Must be knowledgeable in the principles and methods of general, regional, sedation, and local anesthetics
  • Graduate from an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program required
  • Must hold an active RN license in the state of Minnesota and be certified by the NBCRNA
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required to effectively collaborate with clinical staff and other disciplines
  • Ability to function and maintain composure in stressful and emergent situations
