Job Title: Locum Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Join a collaborative anesthesia team at a respected Michigan hospital providing care across a full patient demographic from pediatrics to geriatrics. This is a supervised CRNA role with a strong focus on general surgical cases and opportunities to engage in neurosurgical procedures and spinal anesthesia. This need is open and ongoing; we are looking for providers that can start as soon as possible and provide coverage on an ongoing basis.

Job Responsibilities:

• Administer anesthesia for general surgical procedures for both adult and pediatric patients.
• Provide anesthesia care for neurosurgical cases, ensuring proper management of neurological status pre- and post-procedure.
• Perform spinal anesthesia and local infiltration anesthesia as required by surgical procedures.
• Manage ventilation and monitor respiratory status throughout the surgical process.
• Deliver anesthesia under direct supervision in a collaborative environment with anesthesiologists and surgical teams.
• Maintain continuous patient monitoring throughout the perioperative phase (pre-op, intra-op, and post-op).
• Utilize Epic EMR for all documentation and anesthesia records.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedural protocols, and safety standards.
• Work 32-40 hours per week (8s or 10s) with either Monday or Friday availability.
• No on-call duties required (strictly scheduled shifts).
• Operate within a hospital-based setting designated as a Level II Trauma Center.
• Contribute to a daily volume of approximately 50 surgical cases.
• Work alongside a team in multiple operating rooms, with rotating assignments based on need.
• Respond to emergencies and provide airway management, including intubation if needed.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified CRNA - REQUIRED
• Active Michigan license - REQUIRED
• Clean Background - REQUIRED
• ACLS & BLS through AHA - REQUIRED
• PALS - REQUIRED
• Must have 1 year CRNA experience - REQUIRED
• No job gaps - REQUIRED
• Provider must be able to work a minimum of 32 hours, and have either Monday or Friday availability every week - REQUIRED

License and Certification Requirements:

• Board Certified CRNA
• Active Michigan License
• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS
