Palletizer Operator

The Sheridan Group, a prominent Washington D.C.-based strategic consulting firm serving the governmental sector, is seeking a skilled Palletizer Operator to join our production team. This role is pivotal in maintaining the efficiency and quality of our printed media output. The Palletizer Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining the palletizing equipment used in the packaging and distribution phase of our print operations. As part of our production team, the successful candidate will ensure products are ready for shipping and distribution in compliance with company standards for safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate the palletizing machine to stack and organize printed media products onto pallets efficiently.
• Monitor the palletizing process to ensure the machine settings are adjusted according to the specifications of different jobs.
• Perform routine maintenance on the palletizer to ensure optimal operation, including cleaning and minor repairs.
• Coordinate with the production team to ensure that printed materials are palletized in the correct sequence for distribution.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to prevent injuries and accidents in the workplace.
• Inspect finished pallets to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Assist in inventory tracking and managing supplies needed for the palletizing operation.
