Stitcher Machine Operator

TSG - The Sheridan Group seeks a Stitcher Machine Operator to support the production of high-quality printed and advocacy materials. Working on-site in our fast-paced environment, you will set up, operate, and maintain stitcher machinery to meet precise job specifications and deadlines. Responsibilities include reading job tickets, adjusting settings for size and stock, monitoring quality, troubleshooting minor mechanical issues, and following strict safety procedures. You'll collaborate with a small, hands-on team committed to excellence in professional, issue-oriented communications materials.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor stitcher machines to meet production specifications and deadlines.
• Review job tickets and adjust settings for size, stock, and stitch requirements.
• Inspect output for accuracy, alignment, and quality; correct defects promptly.
• Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor mechanical adjustments.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Coordinate with supervisors and teammates to prioritize and stage jobs.
• Record production data, downtime, and material usage accurately.
• Assist with related bindery or finishing tasks as needed.
